Techworld has partnered with Orikan, a global technology company that provides innovative products, solutions, and services to keep communities moving worldwide. Their offerings range from parking, payments, and facility monitoring to permit management and smart mobility solutions.
In partnership with Orikan, we have successfully deployed 32 Metropolis parking meters have been across Lautoka City to enhance parking management and streamline operations. This deployment has been active and fully operational for the past 16 months, providing reliable service to residents and visitors.
Key Features of the Deployment:
– Certified for Fiji : All parking meters are certified for use in Fiji, with certification documents held by TechWorld and available for review by relevant councils.
– Online Functionality : These meters are connected online, ensuring seamless operation and integration with enforcement systems.
– Maintenance and Support : Regular maintenance is carried out by TechWorld to ensure uninterrupted functionality. Additionally, all parts and technical support are provided by Orikan NZ, ensuring rapid resolution of any issues.
– Durability and Usability : The Metropolis meters are designed for robust performance, with features that withstand local climatic conditions and offer user- friendly interfaces.
This project demonstrates the collaborative effort between Lautoka City Council, TechWorld, and Orikan New Zealand, contributing to enhanced urban mobility and efficient parking solutions for the city.

The Metro LITE TOUCH is the latest addition to the Orikan range of Pay-by-Plate & Pay-by- Space terminals. It has been specially designed to bridge the gap between the traditional cash- and- ticket meters and emerging touch- free technologies such as smartphone payment apps.

The cost-effective terminal works with barrier and non-barrier access control solutions, and has the option to add LPR cameras, an intercom and support transportation cards with the addition of a propriety card reader.
